We are very pleased to report that we are advancing with our efforts to increase and enhance our substance abuse, mental health, HIV, drinker driving, homeless, and residential treatment programs. We have added new professionals to our staff and new sites to better serve our clients. MAAP is supporting its staff in seeking training, credentialing and certification beyond what is required, and will provide cross-cultural and cultural competency training to all staff persons. We are also developing and implementing goals and standards to hold our agency and staff accountable to higher standards. All of these efforts continue to be taken to ensure that the many health needs of South Sacramento's African-American, Asian, Latino and other ethnic communities are being effectively met.
